Wolfsberg in Winter
Wolfsberg is also a fantastic place to holiday during the winter season.

Whereas holidaymakers in the summer are predominantly interested in hiking, swimming and cycling, sports enthusiasts in winter switch their attention to the Lavant Valley’s ski slopes at Koralpe and Klippitztörl, The wide range of groomed runs, backcountry skiing slopes and cross-country skiing trails give guests from near and far — whatever their ability — “pure winter fun”. Both ski resorts boast good snow conditions and modern lift systems.

When in need of a break from the exertions of skiing, sledging or snowboarding, you can treat yourself to a tasty meat and cheese platter washed down with a “Jagatee” (schnapps tea) or schnapps at one of the welcoming ski huts. Apres-ski has something of a tradition in the Lavant Valley.

But things are also fun down in the valley during the winter. You can pit yourself against the locals at curling, enjoy romantic walks in the snowy winter landscape or demonstrate your skill on one of the many ice-skating rinks. In winter too, Wolfsberg has something for everyone.
